Joanna Dupont Inglis, formerly Communications Advisor on Agricultural Biotechnology issues, has been appointed as horizontal Communications Manager for EuropaBio. She is replaced by Joseph Buxton who will take over communications responsibilities on Green Biotechnology.

  World food output must rise 70 percent by 2050: FAO
Global cereals demand for food and animal feed is expected to rise to 3 billion tonnes by 2050 and more demand may come from the biofuels industry, the FAO said in a statement.
 
  EFSA holds two-day conference to debate GMO risk assessment
Presentations are now available on EFSA website. This includes a presentation by Willy De Greef who talked about the difference between Risk Assessment and Risk Management and the fact that EU’s risk research (e.g. all the EU projects) is not used for policy making.
