EuropaBio's Healthcare
Council
The
Healthcare Council includes 49 corporate members and 22 national associations who are involved in healthcare
projects and healthcare
applications of
biotechnology.
The council sets goals
and pursues the
implementation of the
healthcare related
priorities of its
members. The Healthcare
Council oversees
specific working groups
on a variety of topics
that work to raise
awareness of the
contribution that
biotechnology is making
to healthcare in Europe.
Decisions that are taken
in the Working Groups,
are unanimous in common
consultation with the
Healthcare Council or
the Chairman.

Council mission
The
Healthcare
Council mission is
to communicate the
value of
biotechnology
innovation for
healthcare systems,
shaping European
Union policy to
ensure that emerging
biotechnology
solutions reach
patients, deliver
the European Union’s
vision for orphan
drugs to patients
with rare diseases,
promote reward for
innovation as a key
success factor to
improving progress
in medicine and
patient safety.
