EFIB is EuropaBio’s flagship Forum through which stakeholders across the spectrum engage to envision the future of industrial biotechnology across sectors and how it helps to deliver Europe’s bioeconomy. Netherlands, Lithuania, Austria, Belgium, France, UK.

Since 2008, EFIB has brought voices together from policy, regulation, research and industry from start ups to established global actors. Topics under the spotlight have included Food, feed and nutrition, Sustainable Biomaterials, Bioprocesses and technologies, Sustainable finance, and Biomanufacturing.

Executive Round table have brought together senior voices on the issues driving global industry.

SME Breakfast focused on key issues to emerging and fast growing companies.

Start Up Village and Start Up Hour has showcased tomorrow’s companies.

The Annual EFIB Statement has been published since 2021: A two page focus on European and policy priorities with key asks linked to i) modernising regulation and policy i) education and awareness and iii) financing innovation:

EFIB 2024: EuropaBio focuses on Brussels in 2024, in a pivotal year for Europe. It will focus industrial biotechnology and bioeconomy towards the new European Parliament and European Commission.  Members and experts will bringing the voice of science, entrepreneurialism and global manufacturing to policy makers and European Institutions.
