EuropaBio marketing to

EuropaBio’s 2008 Sponsorship Opportunities
EuropaBio marketing to
support third party events
Guiding
Principles
Our senior staff in
conjunction with EuropaBio’s board and members decide which biotech industry
events to support. We will only support those events which further our mission
–to promote an innovative and dynamic biotechnology-based industry in Europe.
Our preference is to use
EuropaBio’s marketing efforts to support biotech events as part of an integrated
marketing package. Only in exceptional circumstances would we engage in sending
marketing emails or promoting events on our homepage that we are not supporting
in other ways.

EuropaBio General
Assembly
EuropaBio’s 2008
General Assembly will take place on June 26th at the Palais D’Egmont, a
beautiful mansion dating from the 16th century which belongs to the
Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The General Assembly brings together all
EuropaBio member companies – large and small biotechnology and life science
companies as well as 25 national associations that represent 1800 small and mid
sized biotech companies.
Our keynote
speaker is Androulla Vassiliou, European Commissioner for Health; Michael Oborne
of the OECD will present the OECD’s report: BioEconomy to 2030.
We
would be pleased to discuss with you how our event could help profile your
company or organisation and we are seeking partnership for the industry
networking opportunities and annual event.
Specialized
workshops & seminars
EuropaBio organizes a number of
specialized workshops with the EU institutions and its members. These seminars
and workshops are related to study launches, EU project promotion, and
exploratory policy development.
Examples of specialized workshops
include:
-
EU Project Seminars
-
Bioethics Study launch seminar
-
BioPreparedness workshops
-
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) workshop
Member Networking
Dinners (November, March, June)
EuropaBio hosts 3 member networking
dinners a year, to coincide with the sector council meetings. These dinners
serve to strengthen the association’s identity and allow the members of each of
the sector councils to speak among and between sectors, expanding business
networks.
EuroBioJobs
EuroBioJobs.org is a partnership between EuropaBio and our
National Biotech Associations to help disseminate job vacancies throughout
Europe or for those looking for a job, carry out a Europe-wide search.
From laboratory specialist to experienced CEO or board member,
from consultant to finance manager, this job marketplace offers individuals and
companies active in Life Sciences the opportunity to offer and find positions,
mandates, collaborations and any other form of working relationship. This
platform can be used by individuals at all levels to find new positions, from
those seeking an apprenticeship or PhD position to those interested in a CEO or
board position or a consulting mandate.
Life Competence
Database
The Life Competence database is an online network and
knowledge sharing contact system filled with EU research projects in healthcare
biotechnology that have been funded by the EU Commission under FP6. It enables
companies, universities, NGOs to find out what research is going on in their
area and who are the partners, people and organisations (companies and
universities) working in this field. It also enables companies and academia to
keep track of the EU projects your organization is involved in or on what your
competitors are doing. http://europabio.euproject.eu/
The development cost of this project has been funded by the EU
Commission for the last two years. Along with EuropaBio’s partners,
Avedas
and the
Karolinska Institutet
we are looking to continue the project and make it self financing.
