generation of Biologics |

Reference: |
The aim of this conference is to bring together experts who can
describe the current ?Best Practice? for: Testing Vaccines,
Recombinant Proteins, Cell based Therapies, Gene Therapy Products
and Monoclonal Antibodies. During this conference the speakers will
look ahead to what types of testing would be required in the future
as techniques advance and new products are introduced. Biologics or
other Medication manufactured using cultured cells have
revolutionised the treatment of numerous diseases. The continued
support by the public for such novel Bio-therapeutics, is very
dependant on the safety of these drugs. The Viral Agents continue to
be the highest know risk in contaminating such products. Many of the
risks are know but it is clear from the number of Guidance Documents
published by Regulatory Agencies worldwide - and the description of
new viral safety testing regimens applied, need to have constant re-evaluation.
