Consumers’ Evaluation of Biotechnology in Food Products: New Evidence from a Meta-Survey

Horticulture Week reports on a study looking at the level of opposition to GM carried out by the Swedish University of Agricultural sciences. According to their findings, opposition to GM may be no larger in Europe than other parts of the world. They carried out a meta-study combining results of 241 studies in 58 regions and found that consumers are no more favourable to GM if it provides a lower price or better taste.
