CropWorld Global 2012: "The best year yet"
Global leaders and key players in the crop production industry met on 6-7 November in central London at the QEII Conference Centre for CropWorld Global 2012 Conference and Exhibition. This year’s event has been hailed as 'the best year yet' by attendees – among them were seed suppliers, agrochemical manufacturers, distributors, farmers and growers, research organisations, governments, industry associations, food producers and food retailers. The great networking opportunities, the exhibition booths and the Conference focused on agricultural innovation and opportunities for sustainable crops production.
EuropaBio, among other industry exhibitors, provided and exchanged information about innovation in agriculture and benefits of the technology to address today and tomorrow’s challenges. In the same spirit, the Plenary sessions looked at how best to bring innovative and sustainable practices to agricultural production to tackle the most imminent problems arising from severe droughts, rising grain prices and food shortages. The second day of the Conference was organised around three streams to look at the political, commercial and technical aspects of the agricultural markets.
Among the highlights of the 2-day event was the New Product Showcase of advancements in technology intended to boost crop yield and a Workshop: How to successfully get your innovation to market.
