Ministers want to keep GM maize out ofGermany

The EU agriculture ministers have decided not to stop the controversial cultivation of genetically engineered genetically modified maize 1507. Germany abstained in the vote on Tuesday because there were differing opinions within the Federal Government. In particular, the Ministry of Research is of the opinion that there must be research into genetically modified plants on.
