EFIB 2018 Registrations are now open

Opening of the registrations for the 11th edition of EFIB, the European Forum for Industrial Biotechnology and the Bioeconomy

Brussels, 25 May 2018 – EuropaBio is delighted to announce the opening of the registrations for the 11th edition of EFIB, the European Forum for Industrial Biotechnology and the Bioeconomy, which will take place in Toulouse, France from 16-18 October 2018.

EFIB is the leading forum highlighting the breakthroughs and potential of the EU bioeconomy enabled by industrial biotechnology, and features contributions from high-level policymakers, CEOs and business leaders, scientists and bio-based experts. They are able to network with over 600 attendees from throughout the bio-based value chain, during 1-to-1 meetings, extended breaks and networking receptions.

Several speakers are already confirmed for this year’s edition and many more will be added to the line-up in the near future. They will join, amongst others, Jean Tirole, 2014 Nobel Prize winner for Economics and Catherine Geslain-Lanéelle, Director-General for the Economic and Environmental Performance of Enterprises, French Ministry of Agriculture and a prominent CEO panel.

To benefit from the Super Early Bird Fee please register by the 10th of June, and keep in mind that academics, government officials and SMEs as well as EuropaBio members enjoy discounted rates.

Meanwhile, did you know industrial biotech made Toulouse famous for its blue dye in the Middle Ages? Or that in addition to its well-known aerospace industry, the ‘Pink City’ is a centre of white biotechnology excellence eager to welcome Europe's largest bioeconomy community at EFIB? You can learn this and many other insights during a wide-ranging interview with Pierre Monsan, the head of our local EFIB partner Toulouse White Biotechnology.
