SUMMARY:Preparing for scale: industrial readiness and infrastructure access
DESCRIPTION:APROVALS Webinar Series – Public Session \n\n\n\nThis is the first session of the APROVALS public webinar series\, a programme of collective learning events open to companies participating in the project and to the broader industrial ecosystem. \n\n\n\nAPROVALS webinars are designed to go beyond individual sandbox sessions: they create a shared space where companies can compare experiences\, discuss cross-cutting challenges\, and engage with external experts on the topics that matter most to scaling innovative technologies. \n\n\n\nSession #1 – Preparing for scale: industrial readiness and infrastructure access \n\n\n\nOne of the most strategic — and most frequently asked — questions among APROVALS participants: how do you know when you are ready to move from pilot to industrial scale? \n\n\n\nThis session will explore: \n\n\n\n\nThe key signals and criteria that indicate readiness for industrialisation\n\n\n\nCommon bottlenecks companies face when scaling from lab or pilot to full production\n\n\n\nFrameworks and options available to navigate this transition in a structured way\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll discuss with: \n\n\n\nRob Kooijmans (Food Safety) \n\n\n\nReza Ranjbar (AartinBio) \n\n\n\n\nMore Info Here

SUMMARY:EuropaBio Biomanufacturing Policy Summit 2026
DESCRIPTION:From legislation to impact for Europe \n\n\n\nBiomanufacturing lies at the heart of Europe’s future societal and entrepreneurial strength and is changing the business landscape for both emerging innovators and established industry champions. \n\n\n\nEuropaBio’s 4th Biomanufacturing Policy Summit will focus on how legislation delivers impact within a proactive Biomanufacturing strategy\, and how we establish EU targets for outcomes. It will also showcase the 2026 update of the EuropaBio WIfoR study ‘Measuring the Economic Footprint of the Biotechnology Industry in the European Union’ prior to full report launch in September. \n\n\n\nThe prize is globally competitive multi-sector biomanufacturing\, keeping pace with industrial transition in major global regions and securing Europe’s supply chains\, healthcare future\, decarbonisation and economic resilience. \n\n\n\nThis meeting will bring together EuropaBio Members\, representatives of key sectors\, plus national and EU stakeholders across institutions. \n\n\n\nThis event will be accessible by invitation only\, for more information contact us at: communications@europabio.org and c.skentelbery@europabio.org

SUMMARY:EFIB Den Haag Statement - A modernised European Union for Industrial Biotechnology
DESCRIPTION:EuropaBio’s EFIB Statement presents three clear asks for the European Union: \n\n\n\nAsk 1 – Modernising regulation and policy: A dedicated\, horizontal EU Regulation for Microorganisms \n\n\n\nAsk 2 – Education and awareness: Future-looking stakeholder engagement and Representation \n\n\n\nAsk 3 – Financing innovation: Delivering a mature funding and collaborative framework \n\n\n\nThese asks sit within a progressive legislative mandate for industrial biotechnology and microorganisms. It supports the translation of a competitiveness agenda into legislation that delivers the bioeconomy. \n\n\n\nJoin EuropaBio for a deep dive into the EFIB Statement and what it means for innovation and manufacturing in the European Union? \n\n\n\nAGENDA \n\n\n\nPresentation of the EFIB statement: Claire Skentelbery\, Director General\, EuropaBio \n\n\n\nFireside chat: Giovanni Colombo\, Group Senior Director Public Affairs\, dsm-firmenich and Board Member EuropaBio \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Draghi Needs Friends - How to Keep Biotech Scaling in Europe
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Regina Doherty MEP (EPP\, Ireland). Organised by BioPharmaChem Ireland and EuropaBio \n\n\n\nWhy now. European biotech companies still cross the Atlantic to scale; for late-stage capital\, for listings\, or through an acquisition that arrives too early. Meanwhile\, the competition is moving. China’s 15th Five-Year Plan for 2026 to 2030 names life science and biotechnology among eight frontier technologies targeted for breakthrough\, identifies biomanufacturing as a priority for industrial upgrading\, and sets a research and development expenditure target above 3.2% of gross domestic product. The European political framework is open at the same time. The Biotech Act is in negotiation as two instruments\, a Regulation and a Directive\, both tabled in December 2025. EU Inc. was proposed in March 2026\, and the Commission is urging Parliament and Council to agree by the end of 2026. On the financing side\, Europe is still working in delivering the Savings and Investments Union and negotiating the next Multi-Financial Framework. Biotech Act II\, covering industrial biotechnology and biomanufacturing\, follows. \n\n\n\nSession 1\, 11.05 to 11.50 – The gap\, the instruments\, and what investors look for \n\n\n\nSession 2\, 12.05 to 12.50. Draghi needs friends: why are we stuck\, and what moves first? \n\n\n\nSpace for this event is limited\, therefore attendance is not guaranteed\, confirmation of attendance will be sent via email closer to the date of the event. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Interest Here
