Spain will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the fifth time in the second half of 2023, between July 1 and December 31. In a pivotal time for the Biotechnology industry, Spain will lead the dialogue on the European Commission’s proposal on new genomic techniques (NGT) and the revision of the Pharmaceutical Strategy for Europe – critical policies for European patients, Europe’s food security and the green transition.
EuropaBio – the European Association for Bioindustries and AseBio, the Spanish Association of Biotechnology Companies, are proud hosts of EuropaBio’s National Associations Council (NAC) annual Presidency Summit. Invited speakers from industry, policymakers, and national biotechnology associations will explore the latest policy developments and offer their insights into the upcoming work and ambitions of the Spanish Council Presidency.
The Summit will be public and held online on June 22. The event will be followed by a Summer reception on June 27 in Brussels to present our participants’ key messaging and recommendations.
If you wish to attend our session or have any questions, insights or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach José Peres at j.peres@europabio.org.
