China, January 2017 - The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China analysed the China Manufacturing 2025 - Putting Industrial Policy Ahead of Market Forces  plan launched in 2015 by the Chinese state planners to "to promote and support the development of advanced industries and technologies" and "sets ambitious goals for developing ten industries".

The document does not mention the term biomanufacturing but makes relevant to references to the biopharmaceuticals sector, by defining a concern and further assessment and recommendations.
