India, January 2021 - National Biotechnology Development Strategy 2021-2025, Knowledge and Innovation Driven Bio-economy is a strategy developed by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology from the Government of India.

The document mentions the goal of the country to be recognised as a Global Biomanufacturing Hub by 2025, with a value of 100 billion dollars, and "a key player in the global supply chain, promoting the national production of socially relevant interventions", through the application of policies to promote and strengthen its biomanufacturing ecosystem.
