Industrial biotech needs to break bureaucracy barriers

On March 19, EuropaBio and Science|Business hosted a closed-door roundtable calling to speed up the development of advanced biotech as Brussels transitions to a new Parliament and Commission. Stakeholders urge the EU to streamline regulatory processes, overcome bureaucratic bottlenecks that slow down biotech ambitiousness, and boost public and private investments.
At the same time, the industrial biotech sector advocates for a more pro-entrepreneurial response to fully unlock the potential of biotech and biomanufacturing industries for a more resilient and competitive European framework.
