Founded in 1866 in Switzerland, Nestlé operates globally in the food and beverage sector. Today, it employs around 273,000 people and operates in nearly every country, with a portfolio spanning almost every food and beverage category.

In joining EuropaBio, Nestlé aims to shape developments in biotechnology, particularly in producing novel ingredients that bring benefits to consumers and that enable sustainable food systems. The company brings deep expertise in food science and nutrition and collaborates with partners across research, industry, and regulatory frameworks worldwide.
