Brussels, 29 May 2026 – EuropaBio is pleased to welcome the Biotechnologies Unit of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) as its newest member.

LIST is a leading European research centre with 840+ employees driving high-impact innovation across natural, built and industrial environments, supported by a cross-cutting expertise in space, artificial intelligence and defence. Within the innovation ecosystem of the Greater Region, LIST stands out by connecting disciplines, sectors, and levels of technological maturity. This distinctive cross-disciplinary approach transforms research into real-world impact.

By joining EuropaBio, the Biotechnologies Unit at LIST aims to deepen its engagement within the European biotechnology ecosystem, increase the visibility of its research, and foster collaborations that accelerate the translation of scientific advances into sustainable and impactful biotechnological solutions. Membership will also enable LIST to contribute its scientific expertise to EU-level policy discussions, helping to shape regulatory frameworks that support innovation while ensuring safety and sustainability.

As a EuropaBio member, LIST intends to actively participate in collaborative projects and working groups, supporting partnerships between academia, industry, and public stakeholders. Its multidisciplinary approach, combining biotechnology with digital tools such as artificial intelligence and bioinformatics, will contribute to EuropaBio’s work in emerging areas including precision biotechnology and circular bioeconomy solutions.
