Reform of the EU General Pharmaceutical Legislation Joint Position Paper on the Hospital Exemption Scheme for ATMPs

In the context of the revision of the EU General Pharmaceutical Legislation, this paper puts forward joint recommendations from ARM (Alliance for Regenerative Medicine), EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations), EuropaBio, EUCOPE (European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs) and ISCT (International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy), for the reform of the Hospital Exemption (HE) scheme for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs).

EUBA position on the European Commission’s Proposal for a Revised Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation

The European Bioeconomy Alliance (EUBA)*, representing 14 leading European organisations from various sectors active in the bioeconomy, supports the intentions of the Commission’s proposal for a revised Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste (PPWR)1 to make all packaging reusable and recyclable by 2030. EUBA considers the move towards a circular economy essential and calls for a stronger support of the bioeconomy sector in the Commission’s legislative proposal to deliver on the sustainability and climate goals set out in the EU Green Deal.

Policy Proposal for New Genomic Techniques – Joint Letter to EU Vice-President Frans Timmermans and EU Commissioners Stella Kyriakides and Janusz Wojciechowski

EuropaBio, together with 20 agri-food value chain associations, co-signed a joint letter to the European Commission, reiterating their support of the Commission’s plans for a legislative proposal on plants obtained by New Genomic Techniques (NGTs) and call for an enabling and proportionate regulatory framework.

EuropaBio Response to Public Consultation on Horizon Europe – interim evaluation

EuropaBio provided input to the European Commission’s interim evaluation of Horizon Europe. The EU should continue to develop the various pillars of Horizon Europe to make full use of its scientific and industrial excellence and to help foster a stronger and more resilient research and innovation ecosystem for biotechnology across Europe.
