The Global Access to Innovations in Healthtech Summit is a biennial EXCITE International summit, a Canada based not-for-profit initiative. The 2021 edition will be organized in collaboration with HI-NL, a Dutch organization.
GAINH 2021 will be the first edition taking place in Europe.
The biennial summit has a unique approach that engages industry, payers, health systems, expert end-users and patients across the full pathway, from innovation to adoption, bringing these technologies to market with greater certainty and at a lower cost.
Together with HI-NL, EXCITE International will bring the European and American markets together to accelerate the pathway from innovation to adoption.
About the organizers
EXCITE International and Health Innovation Netherlands (HI-NL) closely collaborate to work towards the common goal of helping innovative medical technologies become accessible to patients, civilians and care providers through a more timely and streamlined process of evaluation, market access, implementation, adoption and reimbursement.
This is achieved by ensuring that all relevant stakeholders who are involved in the life cycle of medical technology, are as early as possible involved in this process. Both organizations are focused on changing the landscape of the medical technology space and believe that innovative ideas that are transformed into medical technological innovations, have the power to shift the patient, civilian and care provider experiences.
Through their collaboration, EXCITE International and HI-NL are creating the bridge between the North American and European medical technology sectors, where stakeholders and their experiences can easily be exchanged.
(GAINH 2021 is organized by Hyphen Projects, a specialized project office that initiates, develops and organizes career fairs, networking events, websites and other formats for the Life Sciences and related sectors).
Algal Omega-3 is an innovative feed product for aquaculture. It reduces the impact on climate change by 30-40% compared to fish oil and saves 60 tons of wild fish for every ton of Algal Omega-3 used.
Cheese is a vegetarian product thanks to biotechnology. Biotechnology is also essential to produce lactose- or cholesterol-free cheese, as well as alternative proteins.
Clothes made from alternative fibres produced by microorganisms can be 8x stronger than steel, 100% recyclable, biodegradable and replace fossil-fuel based or resource-intensive textiles.
The biomanufacturing of Vitamin B2 led to the reduction of 75% of fossil raw materials and 50% operating costs, compared to the chemical process. Vitamin B2 is used in the food, feed or healthcare sectors.
Enzymes and biosurfactancts are alternative ingredients that improve the performance of detergents, while leading to water and energy savings and reductions in CO2 emissions and water toxicity.
Insulin is one of the most widely known biopharmaceutical. Biotechnology revolutionised its manufacturing process and led to the development of new types of insulin through r-DNA technology.
